| The following Consolidated suffixes are used to identify specific features of the bearings we normally supply. These suffixes appear on our boxes and cartons after the basic Consolidated bearing number. | |

| AC | Angular contact (Inch-Size Bearings Only). |
| B | Angle of contact - 40° (7200, 7300, 7400 series only). |
| C/1 | Internal Radial clearance smaller than C/2. |
| C/2 | Internal Radial clearance smaller than STANDARD. |
| C/3 | Internal Radial clearance larger than STANDARD. |
| C/4 | Internal Radial clearance larger than C/3. |
| C/5 | Internal Radial clearance larger than C/4. |
| CDS | Single Row Ball Bearing with split inner race. |
| E | Indicates High Load Design. |
| ES | Split outer ring with lubrication holes - (Self-Aligning Ball Bushing series). |
| F | Machined two-piece staff-riveted ferrous steel cage. |
| F80 | Reduced tolerances for bore and outside diameter. |
| G | Universally flush ground, Angular Contact Bearings may be mounted back-to-back, face-to-face or in tandem. |
| GE | Bevelled one side of outer rings (10400 series only). |
| J | Steel Cage |
| K | Tapered bore - taper 1:12. |
| K30 | Tapered bore - taper 1:30 (24000, 24100 series only). |
| L | Single-lipped outer ring and double lipped inner ring (Inch-Size Roller Bearings only). |

| NR | Snap ring groove in outer ring, with snap ring. |
